Young Adults Ministry Strategy

Faith’s Young Adult ministry functions under the same mission statement as Faith Baptist Church and participates in fulfilling the church’s vision to Connect to the Body, Grow in God’s Word, and Engage the World for Christ.  We’ve purposefully designed the structure of the Young Adult ministry to supplement (not substitute) being active in the life of the church.  Our ministry is ‘program-lite’ to provide an optimal number of events for community life, to leave room for one-on-one discipleship, to make time to invest in relationships, and to allow for participation in church-wide events.

Young Adult Happenings

The majority of Young Adult happenings are not on an official church calendar, but are more “grassroots” in nature.  The information for such things can be found on the Young Adults Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Young Adult’s Small Groups

Our small groups are the entrance into the Young Adult community at Faith. They focus upon life-on-life discipleship and are essential for spiritual growth. These groups are designed to instill a passion for community, on a class level, and discipleship, on an individual level. Our goal is to continually birth small communities that offer the opportunity for spiritual growth.

Small Groups:

Driven is primarily for college-students, equipping them with the tools necessary to impact today’s

xxxxxxxxxxxGod through Bible study and relational discipleship in order to reach people with the Gospel of
xxxxxxxxxxxJesus (2 Cor. 3:18).  Led by Andy Ellis.

Whole Hearted is for career-age single or married adults desiring to whole-heartedly discuss God’s
xxxxxxxxxxxWord, led by Dick Butler.

Young Couples takes an in-depth look at God’s Word and Its relevance to young couples today—
xxxxxxxxxxx
especially as it relates to marriage.  This group is led by Mike Rudolph.

Connecting Point

The first Sunday of every month lunch and time of fellowship is hosted by the Young Adults ministry.  This time serves a two-fold purpose: it gives the opportunity to develop new relationships as well as mature old ones. This time also allows guests have an opportunity to get plugged into a Sunday morning small group.

Propel

Propel gathers the Young Adult small groups and many others for a time of worship through singing, teaching, and fellowship.

Annual Retreat

The Retreat is typically held in early spring, the retreat affords the Young Adults time away to study the Word, have significant fellowship, and serve together. The retreat is also an opportunity for those who are at the periphery of the group to become part of the core.

Service in the Church

The Young Adult ministry recognizes itself as a part of the church as a whole.  It is essential that every Christian takes part in the church as a whole by serving in a meaningful capacity as a part of their discipleship process.
